Bees Knees: Woodland Quilt

With every baby that we have been blessed with, we have been equally blessed to have an excited Grandma ready to whip up something sweet for the newest little bee.  Each one is a special keepsake, and this newest one is no different.   I love everything about it, and as our little bee grows, I know she will to, as it a wonderful reminder of her grandma's love.

I love the fabric and colors she picked for the border!  Orange is one of my favorite colors, and the pops of it in this quilt make me so happy!  She added a mama hedgehog and her babies,  and beautiful butterflies to make it extra sweet.

The center panel is so amazing!  My mom had been looking for something in the fabric stores and couldn't find anything.  She found this beauty, brand new at...the thrift store!!!  Total blessing, and EXACTLY perfect for our woodland theme!

The animals are all so sweet and look hand sketched, which just adds to the charm of the forest scene.  There are even a few bees! :)  I'll be doing a sneak peak of the girls' room soon, and you can look for this quilt hanging over our little bee's crib.

Mom- I am so thankful for you, and for your artistic abilities that you use to bless those around you (and that you have passed on so patiently!).  The quilt is beautiful! We love you so much!
xoxo
